Pearls will always remind me of Margarita Island, back home in Venezuela. Me & my family visited that magical place every summer. Foreign travelers and locals would comb the beaches selling all sorts of beautiful things. From onsite made ceviche, to ice creams, temporary tattoos, to cocktails and of course handmade jewellery. However, what really got me was the freshwater pearl necklaces sold by foreigners to fund their travels throughout South America. I found this absolutely fascinating and inspiring. Even though and given the current situation of the country this does not happen anymore... pearls will always remind me of summer holidays, my grandma, balmy summer nights and bright hot days spent in the waters of The Caribbean. May either of these necklaces bring you these amazing feelings when wearing it. Named after notable spots in Margarita Island.

Each of our Margarita necklaces comes with a description card, beautifully wrapped with tissue paper in a natural cotton jewellery bag.

It is finished with your choice of 14ct Gold-filled or Sterling silver clasp + extension chain.

The Porlamar variant features a medium sized Baroque pearl, it measures 42cm long.

PLEASE NOTE: We work with professional photographers to best capture the detail & finish of each item. A slight variation in colour, shape & texture are to be expected from freshwater pearls. No two VANIA pieces are ever identical for this reason - How special is that?. Your item will be packed up within 24 hours of your order being received, and sent using Fastway, Post Haste or NZ Couriers. It will then be dispatched on the next working day. Allow a smidge of extra time if your order falls on (or just before) a public holiday!
